Cheryl's interests lie at the intersection of neural network modeling, neuroimaging, and visual perception -- how can we use neural network models to generate falsifiable hypotheses about the neural mechanisms that serve scene segmentation, both in health and in disease. By falsifiable hypotheses, I mean hypotheses about neural computations that make specific predictions for behavioral and neuroimaging studies. We all have models that can fit the data; my goal in life is to get to a point where only one model can fit the data.
