Jiajuan Liu is currently a research scientist in the department of Cognitive Sciences at University of California, Irvine. She did her PhD in Neuroscience from University of Southern California with Dr. Zhong-Lin Lu, and has been working with Dr. Barbara Dosher afterwards. Her main research interest is to better understand learning, memory, attention and brain plasticity, of both humans and machines -- or, an information-processing system in general. She is currently working on visual perceptual learning -- how different factors, such as specific tasks and feedback, affect learning; how learning transfers (or not), using both psychophysics and computational modeling.
