Dr. Leonard has been an assistant professor of Psychology at University of Colorado Denver since 2016. Her research focuses on visual attentional processes, especially how they are influenced by the nature of the incoming input, an observer’s current goals, and recent experiences. She has previously extensively investigated these topics in schizophrenia. She uses methods such as psychophysics, eye-tracking, and EEG/ERP to better under how attentional mechanisms operate over space and time, as well as across individuals.
